Infected (the Dead Inside) British Zombie Film

It’s the weekend, and the lads are off on the town! What could possibly go wrong? How about the end of the world as we know it. ‘Something’ has happened, the undead are out in force, roaming the streets and devouring all who get in their way. Several groups of unlikely people find themselves trapped together in an emergency rescue centre, but no rescue is coming! So as the country goes to hell overnight, and the reality sinks in, how and what will these people do to survive.

I picked up a copy of this dvd titled “Infected” only to find out later that there is about 10 films called infected and that this is known in the UK as “The Dead Inside”.

As you probably know I kind of like the whole genre of English Zombie films so I was down to check this out. So is it? Its not terrible but its not the greatest Uk Zombie film ever made either.
The films starts off with a bunch of lads on a night out clubbing and the Zombie apocalypse hits, a few of them make it out of the city and back to their house where the hold up for a few days before they decide to go to one of the local evacuation centers.

Don’t any of these people ever watch Zombie movies? Firstly none of them ever figure out …”Oh its the Zombie apocalypse??” secondly if you ever watch any Zombie films you always know the evacuation center is or will be over run!

Anyways I always have incredible respect for anyone who goes and makes a film out of the Hollywood system, especially one that has such a large cast as this (I did notice some of the main stars double up as Zombies in some of the big scenes). The actors don’t do a bad job but none of them have much experience. I did like the idea that the film makers killed off key characters that you couldn’t or wouldn’t expect.

Anyways like I said its not the greatest UK Zombie film ever made but not the worst either..go see it and let me know what ya think
